We’re pleased to announce that we have partnered with Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Evil Beagle Games to make our Primeval Thule Campaign Setting available in the popular Savage Worlds roleplaying game system!

This is a natural partnership for both the Primeval Thule setting and the Savage Worlds game system. From the start we envisioned Thule as a setting that could be adapted to multiple different RPG systems, while Savage Worlds is a fun and flexible rules set that already accommodates a variety of exciting game worlds. The game system shines when it’s used for fast-paced, pulpy, action-heavy adventure—and the Primeval Thule setting was inspired by exactly those kind of stories. It’s been described as “Conan vs. Cthulhu,” but Thule also has plenty of Pellucidar, Lankhmar, and Clark Ashton Smith’s Hyperborea  in its DNA.  

To marry up Primeval Thule with Savage Worlds, we turned to Ross Watson and Sean Patrick Fannon of Evil Beagle Games. Ross is an expert on Savage Worlds—in fact, when Primeval Thule was first Kickstarting, Ross and his partners at Melior Via were launching their excellent Accursed setting using the Savage Worlds system. John Dunn of the Accursed team contributed the adventure Night of the Yellow Moon to the Primeval Thule Kickstarter, while Sasquatch Rich wrote The Banshee of Loch Finnere for their setting.

We’re d20 guys, so when we decided to bring Thule to the Savage Worlds audience, we knew that we wanted to get someone who could bring a lot of Savage Worlds experience to bear. Not only is Ross sharp on Savage Worlds, he’s also very familiar with our world. The result is a great new way to explore the fierce and barbaric world of Primeval Thule!
